I’ve been looking at these for years… And last fall we found one we both like. Hopefully the birds will next year too, but as this one is ceramic, it will stay inside for the winter.

What’s Blooming- December 30th, 2014

13 Jan

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I have updated this… But it’s a gorgeous sunny day out, if COLD (currently 37 degrees, which should be the high for the day). Hummers are buzzin around like little demons protecting the fee flowers they like and the feeders. Not much is blooming this time of year, but what IS, seems extra special because of it.

Camelia japonica ‘Yuletide’

Camelia sinensis ‘rosea’

Choisya ternata
Clematis cirrhosa

Grevillea victoriae

Lonicera standishii
Mahonia x media ‘Arthur Menzies’
Mahonia x media ‘King’s Ransom’
Mahonia x media ‘Winter Sun’

Primula acaulis
Sarcacocca (confusa?)

Inside not a whole lot more is in bloom. The African Violets bloomed briefly around Thanksgiving this year, and the Orchids did well around then too, but only one of the orchids is still blooming.
